These powered speakers come well packaged to protect them from damage in shipping. They are easy to set up and connect. The Bluetooth connection is easy to establish, although it can be confusing without knowing it only attempts to pair for two minutes then you have to reset the pairing mode, which could be difficult to figure out if you loose the small one page manual.They have great high and mid tones, but the bass isn't strong. The bass is good enough for the size of these speakers, but you could be well served with a dedicated subwoofers if you want bass that really hits hard. The sound is super clear and there isn't a bit of static. The Bluetooth signal is strong and I can walk pretty much anywhere in my house with them connected to my phone and they don't cut out, drop connection, or get distorted. That is in a two story 2,100 sq. ft. home. As long as the furnace or A/C isn't running, you can hear them quite well from one corner of the upper floor to the opposite corner of the basement when you have the volume cranked up. The sound is fairly clear even when turned up to a high volume.The remote does require a set of AAA batteries which don't come with the speakers. The remote works well and there isn't any significant delay. It has some nice integration with the play, pause, and next buttons in your sound app so it works well with a playlist. I found the back button doesn't work well to skip to a previous track, video, or song.My only quibble with them is if you order the black color speakers, they come with a white coaxial cable to link them together, which for me is extremely unappealing aesthetically. You can likely hide the cable or position the speakers to reduce seeing it but I'd like to see them have a black colored cable to match the black speakers.They are sturdy and feel very well built. The sound is much better than with the cheap set of speakers I have on my computer but these do take up a whole lot more space. Price wise they are at the top end of the range for speakers of their size and capabilities, but I don't have any high end speakers to compare them to.
